Sick sick sick!

THANKFULLY - Zoey was with her Daddy this weekend so I could revel in my sick-state. Ugh. Horrible. Although now, I believe she may be coming down with the same thing.

Saturday, I woke up at my Mom's feeling MISERABLE. So, instead of waiting 'till Monday to take a sick day & have to lug Zoey with me to the Dr., I just went to the Urgent Care facility my Dr.'s office provides on weekends. I had an ugly cough, fever, sore throat, just pure all-over YUCKINESS. So I get there and I DONT have to wait! Yay! I get right in. The Dr. says, "Oh - I have seen this all day. You just have a cold. It's really rampant among children right now, specifically school-aged. Let me get you some instructions on what we're going to do."

I got a little scared! "instructions?" What??? So he brings back this list of things I need to do & buy. I had to buy Actifed, Robitussin, alternate Tylenol & Ibuprofen, gargle with salt water, and take throat lozenges with Benzidine in them. WTF?!?? He said I just had a cold & this would definately cure it. Ugh. I just paid $15 for you to tell me to buy some over-the-counter crap??? UGH!!!!!

So, I head off to Kroger to get all this crap. Can't find the Actifed, so I just continue shopping. Found Robitussin, in PILL form THANKFULLY, and bought some Tylenol as I already had Ibuprofen at home. Bought some tomoato & chicken n' noodle soup. Mmm. Slept ALL WEEKEND LONG.

Which was good, because I didn't get ANY sleep last night. Zoey coughed ALL night long. But it never really had any consistancy. Didn't sound bad. And she wasn't running a fever. I pray she doesn't get sick. :-(

Anyway - that was my weekend. Being sick & sleeping watching TONS of reruns. Yay.
