Ruckus. . . .

Whew. So yeah, it's 11am and I just got to work. I took Zoey in to the Dr. today at 9:50. She was at her Dada's all weekend, and he said she was very congested and tugging at her ear. So, I took her in just to be sure. No ear infection, just a lot of congestedness. Dr. told me to give her PediCare and watch for fevers - because what she has now 'could' lead into an infection.

Yeah, so the concert Friday night rocked. We accidently got there an hour & a half early. Oops. So we had to sit outside in the freezing cold & rain until they opened the doors at 8:30. That sucked. But the concert rocked.

Saturday, I went to dinner with the family. It was GOOOOOD. I had shrimp enchilada's which consisted of blue corn tortilla's wrapped around grilled shrimp & goat cheese. OMG. It was so delectible. Then my Mom, sister & Great Aunt ordered sopapilla's that were the size of grapefruits! They were HUGE! I, thankfully, could not eat anymore.

Afterwards we proceeded down the street to Gap Kids where Alfred's 7 year old, Shelbi, proceeded to whine & grovel until she got what she wanted. Ugh. Brat.

We get home, and Shelbi gets on the computer, and Catie logs onto the net so she can listen to her boyfriends football game. Shelbi remarks, "Uh! I'm playing on here right now! That's not fair!!!" --To which Alfred replies, "Your right Shelbi, that ISN'T fair!!" Uh. . . what's not fair? The fact that Catie was LISTENING to a football game on the computer while Shelbi played pinball on it? Uh, seemed like a negotiable situation to me! Alfred then proceeds to go upstairs & yell at my Mom and demand her to tell Catie to get off the computer. My Mom said, "No! They're fine! It's called sharing!" He continued to yell at her, which made me very uncomfortable, so I left.

I called my sister when I was 1/2 way home to see if things were okay. They weren't. . . . . my sister was crying, begging me to come back. Alfred had slapped my Mom & Catie had called the cops. I was furious. So I u-turned and headed back. I was shaking I was so mad. How in the hell could he have HIT MY MOM?!?! This was SO unlike them. And they hadn't been drinking. I got there as they were arresting him. My Mom did not want him arrested, just wanted him to leave. However, whenever the police are called out for domestic abuse cases, SOMEONE will go to jail. So, they're hauling him off and my Mom is shaken up and upset. She's terrified he's going to get out within hours and come back to ransack the house. And well, since he lives there too, there's really nothing that could have been done to stop him.

The Addison police dept. calls at 3am, notifying my Mom that they are releasing him. He didn't, thankfully, come back. He did get his car, but we're thinking he just went to a hotel for the night. He comes back Sunday around 11am, asking my Mom when SHE'S leaving! WTF?? My Mom said, "I'm not leaving! You are." He hung around for most of the day, not saying anything to anyone & occationally taking a few clothes to his car. My Mom said she felt comfortable enough for me to leave to go home & get Zoey from her Dad's. My sister & her guy friend were still there, though. They said he eventually left, and was crying. Oh well.

Don't know where things will go from here. HE paid the rent - HE paid for the cell phones, etc. That's my Mom's only worry right now is how she's going to get by. She makes GOOD money, however, he was the main care-taker of the home. I'm scared for her. Really scared.

Yep. I better get back to working - seeing as I've only been here 1.2 an hour.
