The Lizard Queen

Ugh. All day I've felt like it was Friday. I hate that, damnnit! Guess it is because I didn't go to work yesterday! I was being lazy.

And! Zoey ate a lizard. Ugh. It was SO nasty. She was sitting on the floor, and I was sitting on the couch in front of her watching CNN about that infant abduction in Abilene. She stands up and is making that "yucky" face and spitting something out. I say, "Hand that to me please!" And she places a head-less, mangled, chewed up lizard about 3cm long in my hand. My first reaction was to scream. Which scared her and she began to cry. I scooped her up and took her to the bathroom to wash her mouth out and wash her hands. Oh, it was SO disgusting. I gave her some apple juice after that to cleanse her palate. Ugh. Nasty!!!!

Yep. Then I made her and I this Taco Bake from a box. I should have known if it was coming from a box, it wouldn't be good. And I was so right. It was disgusting. Eww. Bad! So tonight, I think I'll be fixing chicken strips & black eyed peas. Mmm, those are yummy.

I called an ex-boyfriend/friend from high school today. For some reason, he's been on my mind a lot lately, and I haven't spoken to him in a VERY long time. So, I just picked up the phone and called him! He was in the Navy for like 5 years, stationed in Spain as a fireman. He's currently a fireman for Vought and is getting certified as an EMT. He said he was doing good and suprized to hear from me. I told him what I was going through, and that I just wanted to talk to him. Just needed a friend! We chatted for a bit, and he said he would call me later tonight. I'm wondering if he really will. Hmmm....
