she's crafty!
I'm SO ready for Christmas to be over with already. GEEZ. We have to 'go here' and then 'go there' and 'be here' by 'this time.' UGH. I HATE it that my poor child will be drug around by mummy & daddy throughout the holiday from one family's home to another. Sure she's little - and may not remember all this, but still. . . she needs some stability. Did you know the taste-buds on your tongue only last 10 day's, at which more grow in their place? I went to watch the Mavericks kick the shit out of the Indiana Pacers. It was a really good game. Zoey stayed with Nana and Aunt Carol - and they took her to eat at some Bar-b-que place in Addison. They said she really didn't eat very well. And she had a slight cough accompanied by a runny nose last night as well. Damnit. I really don't want her to get sick! I'm thinking it *might* be her teeth - but who knows. I've got to buy my ingredients tonight for my ranch cream cheese dip & "puppy chow" for Friday's spread at work. I'd love to buy some firewood to and have a nice, cozy night by the fire whilst I indulge in my new book. However, it's really pointless to have a fire in DECEMBER when it's freaking 71 degrees outside! I hate Texas weather. Either be cold, or be hot. . . . not a mixture of either every other day. No wonder so many people are getting so sick. Not enough cold weather to kill off the sickie bugs. My Mom called, having NO idea what to get my 17-year old sister. All my sister put on her 'list' is gift certificates. And my Mom is SO not a gift certificate person. So, she called me asking if Catie might like an X-Box or Playstation. Ha ha ha, uh, No! Why would a 17-year old GIRL - a Senior in high school no less - want one of those things? Well, I guess everyone's different, because with me being 23. . . I'd LOVE to have one! But, no, not Catie. I suggested that my Mom buy her The Sims computer game. So, my Mom looked it up on the net & checked it out, and said, "Man, that looks like a game *I* would want to play!" Yay - MEEEEEE TOOO! That's mainly why I told her to get it. Because I dont have a computer - and so I can play it at thier house! Woo Hoo! I still need to put together my Christmas baskets. I finished my soaps AND the bath saltz. Now, all I have to do is compile them. For this being my very first time doing soaps, they turned out SO awesome. Yeah, I know, they're melt & pour soaps - how freakin' hard can THAT be? I guess I'd have to say the coloring was the hardest. You have to pick everything out ahead of time so you know what you're doing before you just melt some glycerine & dump color in. Some that I made are white with a soft shimmer to them, some are hot pink, some are lavendar, and I made 2 tye-died soaps. Neat-o. Yup. I'm crafty like that. Ha. not. I'm so far from being crafty - you could call me Martha Stewart's neighbor's dog's pile of poo. That how close to crafty I am.
