Someone Called me! Aren't you excited!?
WoW. I feel weird!! :-) I'll explain. (BTW, a part of my entry was about feeling lonely yesterday, so if you haven't read it, do so) Last night, Jeremy picked up Zoey from the sitter, as it was "his" night. (as is every Wednesday) I went to my Mom's and was playing on the computer. She comes home from work and says, "You wanna go have some dinner & drinks at Champps??" Sure, Mommy! So, we hop in her car & head over there. We indulge in some creamy spinach/artichoke dip with crusty garlic french bread accompanied by a few delectable alcoholic beverages. We had some good conversations as well! :-) My sister met us up there once she got off of work & ate with us. It was an all around eventful family night. (but sadly, without my Zo) Afterwards, my Mom went home and my sister and I head down the street to Condom Sense. I'd never been in there and wanted to know what it was all about. (Okay, I had a 'pretty' good idea, but wanted to browse around anyhow) On the way, my cell phone rings. It's an unknown 817 number. WHO is THIS? I answer it, and it's my friend Andrea! She's dating a guy friend of mine, and though we've only hung out with each other like, twice, we had such a good time together. Anyway, she was like, "I asked Rodney for your number because I haven't seen/talked to you in a while & you were so much fun!!" WOW. I was flattered!! I haven't had a friend just call me up & want to talk in the LONGEST time!! She went on to say, "Rodney and I are going out Saturday night. . . I wanted to see if you wanted to come with us!" I was so excited, that I had to hold myself back from giddily screaming SURE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told her that it sounded fun, and to call me Saturday and we'll set things up! I also thanked her for calling me. It's usually a cold day in hell when friends call and actually WANT to DO something with ME. . . and plan it in advance, rather than a 1/2 hour before we leave! :-) Jeremy will have Zoey this weekend. :-( I'd stay home from going out ANYDAY with Zoey. And, I usually always do. But, it is "his" weekend, or, whatever. I went to this website today called Kidnet.org. I emailed them & requested to be put on the list of volunteers for Jonathan's Place and various other childrens assistance organizations. I figured that the weekends I don't have Zoey could at least be productive. I would love to Volunteer at Jonathan's Place. All of the children placed at Jonathan's Place will live with them until permanent families or homes can be found for the children. Children receive medical, dental, psychological and developmental assessments while in thier care. I really hope someone contacts me soon - I want to do this. Alrighty - 10/4, over & out.
