my daughter abuses me!

Yeah, I have another issue. . . .

Zoey has begun hitting/slapping me. And I don't like it! :-(

She and I were laying on the couch last night, and she just comes right up to me and smacks the hell out of my face! It hurt!! So I grabbed her hands and said, "No hitting Zoey! That hurts!" She just got this weirdo look in her eyes, and did it AGAIN! So, off the couch she went. Of course, she wanted right back up with me, but I told her, "No. You hit Mommee and that's not nice." So, she just went off and played, like nothing happened! :-(

And I'm not going to spank her for it. Obviously, if I'm trying to get her to STOP hitting, hitting her back would only be rediculous! Someone else told me to ignore her actions, & move away from her. (somewhere else in the home) That toddlers hate to be ignored or have thier backs turned on them. (as I'm sure anyone would!) But if I ignored her - she'd KEEP hitting me, thinking it was hilarious! And it HURTS! BAD!! Yeah, I know, How could a 14 month old possibly 'hurt' someone older/bigger? But she CAN! And it angers me. I dont know if this is a phase or something else! But I need to stop it. I'd hate for her to start hitting the sitter, or the other girls at the sitters home.

Anyway, yeah, my 14 month old is abusive to me. :-(
